John Fjeldsted joins the Global Wind Group Team as CEO

Winnipeg, September 22, 2010 - Poised to open new international markets for its vertical-axis wind turbines, Global Wind Group Inc. has hired John Fjeldsted as its President and CEO to oversee the company’s expansion. Fjeldsted’s appointment is an important step in the company’s growth as a designer, manufacturer and distributor of renewable energy producing wind turbines around the world.

“The world is at a tipping point in terms of demand for renewable energy,” said Fjeldsted. “Emerging economies around the globe are looking for solutions that can deliver energy reliably and at a low cost. Fjeldsted is currently the Executive Director of the Manitoba Environmental Industries Association (MEIA), a post that he will retain part-time for the short-term as he takes up his new role with Global Wind Group.
