Solar energy is very reliable and predictable, and we use solar panels at nearly every installation. Wind power is obtained through the use of either HAWT (horizontal axis wind turbines) or VAWT (vertical axis wind turbines). Wind turbines deliver power at slightly less reliable frequencies, but over an entire year wind power is very cost effective.
Sycamore Energy delivers cost effective solar power and wind power through the direct sales and installation of solar photovoltaic panels, wind turbines, and batteries. Customers can choose to purchase the equipment from us, or have us install it at our cost and agree to purchase the renewable energy through a power purchase agreement.
Of the two options, the green power purchase agreement is the easiest. Simply enter into a green power purchase agreement with Sycamore Energy and we’ll do the rest. We’ll install the solar photovoltaic panels, the wind turbines and we’ll worry about keeping them operating at peak performance. You simply pay a monthly bill for the power you use. It’s as simple as paying your current energy utility, but the green power purchase agreement gives you energy at a lower cost!
Sycamore Energy’s wind turbines are available as vertical-axis wind turbines, in sizes from 300W to 5,000W, or larger horizontal axis wind turbines 50kW, 80kW or 250kW. Depending on your location wind power is a very cost effective form of renewable energy. Wind power works best in coastal and mountainous regions, but prairie and other flat-lands also work well.
